Elk Brook Nubians

   Elk Brook Nubians is located in western Oregon, about 15 miles west of Interstate 5 between Eugene and Roseburg. Our ranch is nestled in a narrow valley between two mountain ranges. Elk Creek, a tributary of the Umpqua River, runs the full length of our property.
   Elk Brook does are very dairy with style, elegance, and outstanding conformation. All of our does are descendants of GCH Elk Brook Leann 1*M, Elk Brook Beth and Leann’s sister Elk Brook Kolani Kiss. We strive for quality show animals that maintain a constant milk production throughout their lactations.
   Our does did very well in the show ring this year, earning four Grand Champion wins, several Reserve Grand Champions wins, two Best of Breed, two Best in Show, three Best Udder of Breed and two Best Udder in Show wins.
   CH Elk Brook Becca's Windflower won Grand Champion, Best of Breed and Supreme Nubian Udder award at the 2007 Oregon State Fair. In the State Fair group classes, our does were 1st place Dairy Herd, 1st place Breeders Trio, 1st and 3rd place Get of Sire, 1st and 2nd place Produce of Dam, and 2nd, 4th and 5th place Dam and Daughter.
   Our animals are fed quality grain, grass hay and alfalfa. They are on a routine maintenance schedule for worming, vaccinations and hoof care. Does are housed by age, each group having a large pen in the barn and their own pasture. This is the 17th consecutive year that all our animals tested CAE negative.
